ARTIST STATEMENT
Wuchao Feng is a Chinese artist who currently studies at the Royal College of Art. In the context of globalization, she advocates a new definition of identity as a fluid idea through natural metaphors. Her works propose an oceanic perspective on self-recognition by dispossessing the ego from the physical body. She’s seeking tranquillity and unity in the body of water through the derealization and interconnection with nature.
冯吴超，1998年出生于浙江宁波，研究生现就读于英国皇家艺术学院摄影专业，本科毕业于芝加哥艺术学院，作品主要包括摄影、装置、行为艺术等。作品关注全球化及人类纪时代的个体归属与媒介的可能性，通过去标签化的自然喻体提出流动的身份认知概念，以山川海流为诗，砂石盐渍为谱，在一系列人与自然产生交互过程中，展开了一场持续的自我和解之旅。
